Introduction
This course enables students to learn and analyze the development and evolution of industrial systems from the perspective of industrial history while understanding the frontiers of international industry, thus facilitating knowledge accumulation, capacity training and value shaping in line with global innovation strategic thinking.
The course first explores the modern industry paradigm formed by development of industry, and cultivates students' system-level abilities to identify, judge and decide the development of resources, people and technology, based on learning production strategy.
The course will deliver these instructional outputs through various activities, including lectures, case studies, and projects. Students are supposed to submit a weekly study report and publish it on a knowledge management platform like MediaWiki. The projects of the team will also use the same knowledge management platform to collect the students' creative achievements.
All of these teaching sessions will be distributed throughout the semester, and an industry analysis report will be written to integrate what have been learned. We hope that this course will provide a framework to analyze the industry and individual career opportunities, which help students understand the decision-making process of industry analysis, realise the importance of long-term career planning and learn the method to plan through the process of industrial technology strategy analysis.
