Seoul Dynasty End Blip Against Houston Outlaws

Over the past couple of weeks the unthinkable has happened in the world of Overwatch - the Seoul Dynasty team, considered by many to be the best in the world, lost two games in a row.

The first defeat for Seoul came at the hands of the New York Excelsior back during week three.

With the two other Korean teams now out of the way, Seoul looked to get back on track with a win against the Houston Outlaws during week four.

But this would be no easy task, as the Outlaws went into the match having won all of their last five.

Unfortunately that run had to end somewhere, and at the hands of the Seoul Dynasty is nothing to be ashamed of. The Korean team managed to take the win over the Outlaws with a 3-2 victory, in a match that was far closer than many expected.

Houston took wins in map one on Eichenwalde and map four on Junkertown with 3-2 wins on both maps.

Seoul managed to take maps two and three with a 2-1 win on Horizon Lunar Colony and a 2-0 win on Ilios, kynghidongduong.vn resulting in a game five.

However, it was Seoul who took the 2-1 win on Lijiang Tower to move to 6-2 for the season and claim third place.[ ][ ]
A crucial match between the Boston Uprising and LA Gladiators ended in another 4-0 sweep, this time for the Uprising, putting them in seventh place and just outside the play-offs.

A loss here could have spelt the end of their play-off dreams for stage one of the competition, but now that $125,000 prize pool is still obtainable, if a little unlikely.

The Overwatch League action continues tonight with the London Spitfire taking on the Shanghai Dragons, the Dallas Fuel taking on the New York Excelsior and the Boston Uprising taking on the LA Valiant.
